We got the call last night, from Tom’s brother, Denis, that their mother was in the hospital following a car accident. She has a broken femur and multiple broken ribs, but is receiving good care, and got out of surgery this morning. We’re both sending loving, healing wishes her way, and wishing that we were a bit closer. Most of the time it’s great to be living in the mountains in CA, but in times like these it can feel like we’re just so far away from family.
