Whirlwind trip

I'm back from my Modesto/Mountain View trip. What a ride. I ended up missing the Modesto appointment because the car broke down in Oakdale. Anthony's housemate, Ryan, gave me a bunch of great reading material on case study interviews at his house, and I read enough to know that I could have done much better at that segment of the interview. I'm still excited about the company – it seems like such a great opportunity, but I guess we'll have to wait and see how things work out. On the way home, I stopped again at the Haidlen Ford dealership in Oakdale, and in 15 minutes Tony diagnosed our long-standing hesitation problem, and then because we had already purchased spark plug wires, sent me on my way free of charge. Too cool.

Now, I'm on the verge of heading out again. I'm thinking about joining Tom on the East side of the Sierras. He is over there for some hiking and to cheer for our housemate Hans, as he attempts to break the record for the 14 legal 14 thousand foot summits in California. Tom is also in charge of updating the website on Hans' progress on his adventure. So far, he looks like he's doing great.
